How do I prevent the collapse of the BladeRunner legs when cutting 9.5mm plasterboard?

Occasionally the legs of the BladeRunner may collapse when finishing a cut of 9.5mm plasterboard.

This can easily be prevented by holding the bottom half of the tool when finishing the cut of 9.5mm plasterboard.
